Since the founding of our firm in 2001 as The Clark Group, we have grown in new directions and added new partners – while retaining our firm’s original character and dedication to excellence. Over the past decade, we have grown from a small partnership in Washington, DC to provide nationwide services with offices in Vermont, Wyoming, and Virginia. Throughout this time, we have enjoyed working together to guide our clients’ work for a lasting positive impact. We have decided to commemorate our ten years of success with a new name and brand that is more descriptive of what we do
Our clients are at the core of our work. As a result, we selected a name that reflects the role we play for them. The word “vela” refers to part of a star constellation describing “the sail of a ship” and is also the root of words such as “reveal” and “revelation.” The name embodies the promise we make to our clients, present in all of our services: to help navigate their way through difficult issues and provide the means by which they can make meaningful progress in accomplishing their goals.
